2024-2025 PTO Board

PRESIDENT

I am Brittany Payne, and this will be my second year serving as your PTO President! My husband, Brad, and I have only one daughter, Melody, and she is going into the fourth grade. I have been an active member of the PTO since she started at Legacy in Kindergarten. I am originally from Tuscumbia, AL, but I moved to Madison in 2009 after graduating college at the University of Alabama. I am currently blessed to be a stay at home mom, and during my downtime, I like to design and create things for my Etsy shop. Legacy is such an amazing school, and we are so blessed to be here!

VICE PRESIDENT

My name is Angie Mayo. I have been married to my husband for 14 years. We have 4 kids, Zoey, Janie 7th Grade, Lydia 5th Grade, and Randy 2nd Grade. This is my second year as the Vice President of the PTO. I enjoy reading and being with my family. We have lived in Alabama for two years. As a family, we enjoy swimming, camping, hiking, and fishing. I can’t wait to see what the next school year brings to the students at Legacy Elementary School.

TREASURER

Hi! My name is Christy Siebern and I am the Treasurer for the PTO. Shortly after earning my college degree in Atlanta, GA, my husband, Joe, and I relocated here to the Harvest area. I am a proud mom of my two wonderful kids, Cassie, who is in 5th grade, and Brett, who is in 4th. When I am not juggling all of the jobs of being a Mom, I work part time as an Online Mathematics Tutor as I thoroughly enjoy bringing light to student’s discouraging struggles. With this being my 4th year on the PTO Board, I have been given the opportunity to meet so many of the awesome kids at Legacy. The energy of Legacy Elementary is so positive thanks to all the great people and kids involved, I am honored to be a part of it.

SECRETARY

My name is Melissa Oppman, and I am currently serving my third year on the PTO board. My husband Jim and I have two children, Preslee (12) and Lincoln (8). We have called Madison home for the past 8 years.

Along with pursuing my bachelor's degree in Human Resources at Athens State University, I am a stay at home mom.

I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity to be more involved with my children's school by serving on the PTO. I am looking forward to another fun year!

TEACHER APPRECIATION CHAIR

Hi! I’m Stephanie, and I’m thrilled to serve as this year’s Teacher Appreciation Chair. Although this is my first year on the board, I’ve been an active volunteer since our family moved to the area. My husband, Larry, and I are proud parents to six amazing children: Raygan (26), Dominic (25), Carlos (14), Alexiah (10), and our energetic twins, Uriah and Isaac (8).

After retiring from the military, we chose Alabama as our forever home—a place where we could finally slow down and savor the moments we’d missed. I now work from home as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigator, a role that allows me to stay connected to my purpose while being present for my family.

Having missed many milestones during my years of service, I’ve come to cherish every moment with my children. This PTO role is more than just a position—it’s a chance to give back to the incredible educators who pour their hearts into shaping our kids every day. I’m deeply honored to be part of a community of passionate parents, united in gratitude and committed to making a difference.

SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR

My name is Mary Catherine Coe, and I’m excited to serve as this year’s Social Media Director!

My husband and I have three children: Norah (6), and our twins, Collins and Conway (9 months). This is my first year on the PTO board, but it’s not my first time being involved with Legacy. I spent the last 10 years teaching here and am thrilled to stay connected through serving on the board!

Since leaving the classroom, I’ve been pursuing a new career in Instructional Design. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, strolling down every aisle at Target, and reading on my Kindle.

Legacy holds a special place in my heart and will always feel like “home” to me. I can’t wait to show off all the wonderful things happening at our school!

FUNDRAISING

My name is Ashley Mimms and this is my first year serving on the PTO board. I am excited to be one of the fundraising members this year!

My husband and I have three children: Carter (4) who is starting Prek at Legacy this year! Wyatt (1) and Remington (1 month). I am currently blessed to be a stay at home mom to our three kids while working on becoming a registered dietitian.

I am so excited to be apart of this community and look forward to serving the school and having an amazing year!

FUNDRAISING

My name is Stacy Templeton, and I’m so happy to be part of the PTO Board this year.  I’ve been married for almost 16 years and have two amazing kids, Ashlyn (5th) and Logan (9th). We moved to the Harvest area 4 years ago and I’ve been a Legacy Mom ever since. I’ve always loved how many opportunities I have had to volunteer at the school for different reasons and I’m so excited to be a part of the Fundraising team this year. 

TEACHER REPRESENTATIVE

My name is Taylor Redding, and I am one of the first grade teachers at Legacy! I am a proud Huntsville native and an alumna of Athens State University. I am blessed to be married to my high school sweetheart, Caelan. We have three VERY spoiled pets: Milo (dog), Molly (dog), and Sashimi (cat). I love attending concerts, exploring new places, caring for my plants, and riding my Peloton.

This is my fifth year teaching first grade and my third year serving as the PTO teacher representative. I find tremendous fulfilment in teaching first grade. There is nothing better than witnessing the growth and development of our learners when we give them the tools to succeed. I look forward to serving my fellow teachers as their PTO representative. We are going to have a sweet year!
